Cardiff Bay cycle tour

By bike

Provided by Cardiff Cycle Tours

Truly the best way to explore this beautiful and fascinating young city is by bike. From the Bay to the Heart of the City, we take it easy on the fantastic Pashley bikes, discovering many of the Cardiff landmarks. Cardiff is rapidly becoming a real cycling city. It is flat (honestly), and many places in the city and around the Bay can be reached without much interference with cars. This is a relaxed way of spending some hours and taking in some history as well.  The Bute Tour takes you from the Bay all the way down into the heart of Cardiff – the castle – and back. The Bay Tour explores the areas around the Bay, going through the Wetlands to the Barrage and back. Come and join us for a unique experience of time and place, discovering a Cardiff not accessible by car or bus.

Alpi Aviation Pioneer 200 in flight

In the spirit of travel and adventure on a budget...and to enjoy Wales' stunning landscape...NosDa has acquired its very own aircraft......and the owner is licensed to fly it!! G-WEFR (the aircraft's registration, which in Welsh means 'THRILL', is a state of the art, new generation aircraft known as an SLA (Sport Light Aircraft) and due to its low weight and carrying only two people is registered in the UK as a microlight. It can fly as slow as 40mph or as fast as 140mph, has a bubble cockpit to enjoy the amazing views of Wales...and is very exhilarating!

If the weather is good during your stay, enquire with the staff whether Sion is about, and tell them your interest in one of his aerial tours of the Castles and Coastline of South Wales. He'll only charge you half the real cost of the flight*...which amounts to about £10 an hour! Plus the travel cost to the airfield and back....about another £10!!......it'll be the best value you've ever had for £20!.

*A legal restriction in the UK for carrying passengers in a Microlight/Light Aircraft where the Pilot holds a National Private Pilots Licence, thus the flight will not constitute a commercial service provided by the company, but a private arrangement whereby you re-imburse half the real cost of the flight!
